Textile machines come usually in big numbers at one location, all with the same or nearly same speed respectively number of strokes. This leads not only to several times the vibration level which a single machine would cause, but also to interferences.
In the past looms had quite high imbalances, they were running at low speed and offered little internal stability. That made an installation on steel plates or concrete foundations inevitable. Springs were arranged below that additional mass.
Today these machines run at higher speed with less imbalances. For these machines, GERB has developed special spring elements, which can be placed right below their feet.
